What is UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana

Mahila Samarthya Yojana is a latest scheme launched by Uttar Pradesh government. Under this scheme, the government is encouraging women in the state to get employment to make them self-reliant by providing them with employment. Under this scheme, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji had announced in February 2021 that women under this scheme will be provided employment in areas where students are concerned. Suppose a woman is engaged in agricultural work, the government will arrange a market for her to sell her crops so that both get more profit.

• The State Development Center has released this scheme to make women self-reliant in the state.
• For the proper implementation of this scheme, the government has constituted two separate committees at the state level and at the district level.
• Under the Women Empowerment Scheme, women will be made aware of their potential so that they show interest in working and stand on their own feet.
• The government has prepared a budget of Rs 100 crore to run this scheme.
• In this scheme, the government has also taken care that the people should be trained according to their interests so that they can do their work diligently.
• Under this scheme, the government is helping women to enter the industrial sector.
• In the first phase of Women Empowerment Scheme, the government has formed 200 development groups.
• Under this scheme, the government is encouraging women to progress in the technical field as well.

UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana Eligibility 

• Under the UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana, only the women of Uttar Pradesh will get the benefit and only the women who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh will get the benefit.
• Only women can apply to get benefits under this scheme.

Apart from the applicant’s gender and being a resident of Uttar Pradesh, no other qualification is asked, so anyone can join the scheme.
